Chinese face mapping is a 3,000-year-old practice. It views the face as a map with each section connecting to different organs. Facial-Acupuncture prescription can benefit overall health and the result reflects on your face.
When there’s a bodily imbalance, it’s said that the skin will show this via pimples, redness, or dryness. The location of these blemishes on the face supposedly represent the organ that’s affected.
The main result people experience is a bright and fuller complexion as a result of the needle stimulation via enabling the body’s own energy to bring the fresh blood and oxygen flooding through the face and really bring it back to life.
Your face reflects the vitality and overall state of your health!
Acupuncture can focus on areas and points on the face and help to improve elasticity and signs of ageing, it can also address underlying issues which can be contributing to areas of concern on the face. Through this approach better and longer lasting results can be achieved. It is a natural, safe and viable alternative to more invasive procedures

How is Cosmetic Acupuncture performed?
Facial Acupuncture is performed by precisely inserting sterile, disposable, very fine needles into areas of the face and body to stimulate blood flow and collagen production to the face, while balancing the whole body. The overall result transforms your skin, yielding a smoother, more radiant appearance, while gently revealing its natural beauty.
I prefer starting the session with mini facial massage, to bring the calmness to whole body and stimulate blood circulation. If the treatment straight begins with inserting many needles, then client may experience dullness, headache, and discomfort due to causing congestion by withdrawing the Qi (energy) to the head. However, when you start with the body, you can experience a full flow of energy in harmony that the helps support the Facial Acupuncture.
How Does Cosmetic Acupuncture Work?
Regular acupuncture treatments can use up to 120 needles. However, I prefer inserting 20 to 50 painless micro sized needles which makes my treatments less intense. As the needles puncture the skin, they create wounds within its threshold, which are called positive microtraumas. When your body senses these wounds, it goes into repair mode.
These punctures stimulate your lymphatic and circulatory system, which work together to deliver nutrients and oxygen to your skin cells, nourishing skin from the inside out. This helps even out your complexion and promote your skin’s glow. The positive microtraumas also stimulates the production of collagen. This helps improve elasticity, minimizing fine lines and wrinkles.
How many sessions do I need?
The average treatment course includes a total of 10 consecutive sessions, once a week. Maintenance sessions are recommended every 4 to 8 weeks. By keeping this up, the results can last for years. Treatments usually take 60-75 minutes. The initial consultation and treatment may take up to 90 minutes.
What to expect?
While some people may notice positive changes in 1 or 2 treatments, some may not until the 4th or 5th treatment. (Please note: the effects of smoking and sun damage may be difficult to reverse.) Only getting 1 or 2 treatments may not be enough to begin the natural reversal of the signs of aging from the myriad of stresses we throw at our face day in and day out.
